Frontline Leader Awardee: Rising Through Challenges, One Step at a TimeWhen I heard I was being awarded the Frontline Leader Award (Bronze), the word “frontline” really made me pause. It felt so fitting because being a Unit Manager isn’t just about sitting at the top and giving orders—it’s about being right there in the trenches with your team. And let me tell you, this has probably been the toughest role I’ve ever held in all my years as a professional.
Unlike in the corporate world, where employees follow because they have to—because their jobs depend on it—working in a consultancy setting is a whole different game. Most of my teammates are part-time consultants. They’re balancing careers, families, personal goals, and sometimes even crises, all while trusting me to guide them toward success. It’s humbling and, at times, a little overwhelming.
You see, as a Unit Manager, you don’t just lead. You motivate, you inspire, you teach, you encourage, and yes, you even nag a little (okay, maybe more than a little). You become a friend, a coach, and sometimes the person who helps pick them up when life knocks them down. And there were a lot of those moments in 2024.
Frontline Leader – Rising Through Challenges
Honestly, 2024 felt like a constant uphill battle. Many of our teammates were dealing with personal challenges—things like family issues, health struggles, and financial difficulties. There were moments when I could see the weight of it all in their eyes. And I’ll admit, there were times I wondered if we’d make it through the year. How do you ask someone to give their best at work when life is already demanding so much from them?
But then, something beautiful happened. We didn’t just show up—we showed up for each other. Slowly but surely, one by one, my team started pushing forward. Some closed their first deals after weeks of effort. Others began regaining their confidence after feeling stuck for so long. Every small win felt like a huge victory because I knew the battles they were fighting behind the scenes.
And that’s why this FLA Bronze isn’t just an award—it’s a story. It’s a story of resilience, of grit, and of what can happen when a group of people refuses to give up on themselves or each other.
Looking back, I realize that our success isn’t measured by how much I accomplished as a leader. It’s measured by the individual triumphs of every person in our team. Their growth, their breakthroughs, their moments of self-belief—that’s what this award represents.
And now, as we step into 2025, I can’t help but feel excited. Many of our rookies who spent the past year finding their footing are now ready to run. They’ve gained confidence, they’ve learned the ropes, and they’re ready to push harder. On top of that, we’re welcoming new teammates into our growing family—each one bringing fresh energy and more reasons to believe that this year will be even better than the last.
This year, we’re not just looking to grow; we’re looking to reach. To reach more people, new communities, and different walks of life. We want to inspire those who’ve never imagined financial freedom as something within their grasp. We want to educate, motivate, and show others that success is possible, no matter where you’re starting from.
To my Lazurite Capstone family: Thank you for trusting me as your frontline leader, for believing in yourselves, and for proving that when we work together, there’s no challenge we can’t overcome. This award might have my name on it, but it belongs to all of us.
2024 was a year of trials, but it was also a year of triumphs. And now, 2025 is ours for the taking. Cheers to bigger dreams, brighter opportunities, and a journey we’ll never forget.
Together, there’s truly no way but up!
